... Prime Factorization & How to Use It ...

Learning is important, but I've found that there is something equally important -- if not more so.  Learning the meaning of something... the reasons why... and those sorts of things.  

Did you know that you can use prime factors to determine whether a decimal would repeat or terminate?  Did you know that it would also tell you the number of digits in the decimal if the decimal is terminating.  Did you know that if the decimal is repeating that it will also tell you at what point it will begin repeating.  

It's useful!!! I finally know the why behind the time put into such things!!! Now,I'm sure there is something that this lesson is applicable to in "real" life with "real" people.  What if we knew the why and the reasons over the "just do it" theory?  Would we be more likely to participate in/do something that we understood the reasons behind than something that we were just told to do?
